We are excited to share that we have joined the MACH Alliance.
The MACH Alliance is a global group of organizations that advocate for developing software according to MACH (Microservices based, API-first, Cloud-native SaaS, and Headless) principles. The goal of adhering to these principles is future-proofing and improving the interoperability of enterprise software.
Bluestone is the first Product Information Management (PIM) vendor in the group, which has prominent commerce tech vendors as its members.
Being MACH-certified proves that we have fully embraced MACH principles and standards. These standards create a software ecosystem that allows enterprises to choose the elements they need instead of being forced onto restrictive all-in-one platforms.
What Is the Mach Alliance About?
The MACH Alliance is made up of forward-thinking tech companies from around the world that are committed to building software with an open and future-proof architecture.
Individual vendors within the alliance provide solutions that range from frontend and backend commerce platforms, system integration, to DevOps, website tools, and a variety of business applications in between.
The vendors in the MACH Alliance are united by their adherence to the strict MACH standards and the belief that MACH provides the way in which software should interact with other software in the future.

Why We Joined the Mach Alliance
We are committed to being a technology-driven company, and staying at the forefront of enterprise tech is extremely important to our team.
Since the beginning of 2015, we have been developing Bluestone PIM according to the MACH principles. The decision was made taking into account the flexible nature of microservices, the unmatched connectivity of the API-first approach, and the superior performance of cloud-native and headless SaaS software.
Being able to join the MACH Alliance validates our technology choices and opens opportunities to strengthen our position as an industry leader and to collaborate with other commerce leaders in the group.
The Alliance provides a forum for the exploration of emerging technologies and best practices as they relate to interoperability, which is something we are truly excited about. Most important of all, our decision to join the Alliance reflects our long-term vision of providing customers with choice in how they manage their technology stack.
We want to spread the message about MACH so that more and more enterprises can enjoy the benefits of integrating software in a matter of hours instead of weeks or months.
Bluestone PIM in the Commerce Stack
As digital commerce becomes more competitive and challenging, Product Information Management becomes a crucial element of both the B2B and B2C tech stack.
Core capabilities of a PIM platform include business process management, data syncing, modeling and cleansing, and DAM. PIM serves as the data layer of commerce — to visualize what it means, it provides a foundation for the entire customer experience as seen on the frontend and across all touchpoints.
Not only is it more consistent to process data in PIM, but it is also more efficient, as PIM reduces the manual workload on commerce and marketing teams. Businesses can use a PIM platform to drive online sales with the help of centralized and organized product information.
A platform like Bluestone PIM, which provides its functionality on top of sound technological architecture, is a perfect match for headless commerce and opens the doors to all the modern sales and marketing channels.
Bluestone PIM team is excited to bring these capabilities to the MACH Alliance. We will promote the Alliance’s standards of open architecture, and we are looking forward to getting involved and strengthening the ecosystem on the technology, business, and marketing side.
